1) Where/when do I bring my bike for TriBike Transport service to my event?
Take a look at our Logistics page to find the Drop off schedule and additional information. The drop-off deadline depends on the distance from your local Partner Shop and the location of your event. Please review the schedule carefully and check in 3-4 weeks before your event incase the schedule has been changed or updated.
2) Where is the closest Partner Bike shop to my home?
Find the Partner Shop closest to you through our Partner Bike shop table.
3) What is your cancellation policy?
We offer two options in the event you need to cancel your reservation. The first is a refund of your shipping fee, less a $75 processing fee. The second option is to roll-over your reservation to a later event. This allows you to transfer your reservation to a later trip at no additional cost. You can transfer to any future event that we serve, no expiration or time limits.
4) Are bikes insured while in your possession? What is covered by the insurance?
Your bike is insured up to a value of $1000, and supplemental insurance is available for $6 per $1000 of coverage.
The insurance covers any damage that may occur during the normal process of storing, loading, transporting and delivering bikes from our Partner Shop to the race destination for the round trip. The coverage is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item, part or component to a maximum of $1000 or the amount of supplemental insurance purchased. It does NOT include reimbursement for loss or expenses incurred as a result of a delayed delivery.
5) How are the bikes loaded?
We require that pedals be removed from your bike before you drop it off at your local Partner Shop. Each bike is covered with a mover's blanket, which provides two layers of protection between bikes, and securely loaded and strapped into a fully enclosed truck.
6) Do I need to disassemble my bike or pack it in a case?
Your bike is transported fully assembled with a couple of exceptions. We ask that you remove the pedals and keep them with you when you drop your bike off at your local shop. We also ask that seat post mounted carbon fiber hydration system be removed. The carbon fiber seat post mounted hydration systems are very fragile. Please keep anything that you remove from your bike with you or pack it in the optional gear bag.
7) When will my bike be returned to my Partner Shop after my race?
It will take approximately the same number of days for your bike to be returned to your partner shop as it did to get the event. If you dropped your bike off 5 days before your race, it will take approximately 5 days to return. We will send you an email within a few hours of the time that our driver reports in that your bike has been returned.
8) Why is my local Partner Shop not listed to ship to my event?
We need to transport a certain number of bikes for our service to be feasible. If a shop is not listed for a particular event, our research indicated that there would not be enough customers to cover the cost of the truck, driver, fuel, etc. from your area
